Leather for sole

The company produces leather butts for the soles of both men's and women's shoes. The leather, which comes in every thickness (3/3,5 mm - 3,5/4 mm - 4/4,5 mm - 4,5/5 mm - 5/5,5 mm e 5,5/6 mm), is exclusively produced from raw bovine hides originating from Europe's principal abattoirs, especially those in France and Germany.

The specific place of origin of the raw material, which is restricted to a particular European territory and highly acknowledged for the quality of the product obtained from the slaughtering of special bovine breeds, consents it to be defined as "Macello".
Distinction from other leathers that are obtained from raw hides acquired in geographical areas other than the above mentioned French - German zone is evident in the finished product, as the commodity characteristics of a high quality leather are not present.
Moreover, the company has always aimed at presenting the leather it produces to its clients without any kind of finish that conceals its provenance in order to highlight and exalt the type of workmanship and traditional finishing touches.
Thanks to these company policies, which have always seen the use of choice raw materials, the leather produced by the leather factory Giuntoli can be defined as "Macello Naturale" as it does not undergo a coating or coloring treatment in the finishing-off phase.

The product is obtained according to the traditional slow tanning procedure in vats, using vegetable tannins that come from the chestnut as the tanning material.
When utilized in a suitable manner, these tannins give the leather excellent chemical and physical characteristics. This has allowed the company to obtain the produc quality certification issued by the I.CE.C (Institute for quality certification in the tanning sector) according to UNI 1O.594 norms.
